Install the extension
Add Scholarwire for Canvas to Chrome once its Chrome Web Store listing is live. On install it can reach only Scholarwire's own site, and it reads no Canvas page until you allow your school's address in the next step.

Connect Canvas
Open your Canvas tab, press Use this site in the extension, and allow that one address. It reads Canvas with the session you are already signed into, so you never hand over a password. The first sync fills Today, the calendar and your courses, and starts 14 days of Pro.

Subscribe your calendar
In Settings, turn on Calendar sync and copy your private link. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook subscribe to it and keep up on their own. Only calendar fields go to that link, and turning it off deletes them.

Ask Claude or ChatGPT
Add the Scholarwire connector to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask what is due, what you missed or what to do tonight. Ask for a study set and it lands on your Study page as one set, with its deck, quiz and guide together.
Canvas sync, the calendar, notes, flashcards and quizzes are free. The Claude and ChatGPT connector is part of Pro, and the trial includes it; Pro also syncs every 30 minutes and puts every course on your calendar. Reading Canvas needs the extension, so connecting takes a computer with Chrome.
